About Us – District Courts Shangla
Structure & Establishment

The District Judiciary Shangla was established on July 11, 1996, when the Hon’ble Peshawar High Court authorized the creation of the Sessions Division. This brought Shangla a full complement of judicial officers and support staff, marking the foundation of its structured, tiered judicial system.

Organizational Framework

At its helm is the District & Sessions Judge and other learned Judicial Officers including Additional Sessions Judge, Senior Civil Judge (Admin), Senior Civil Judge (Judicial) with Civil Judges/Judicial Magistrates presiding over cases in Tehsil Alpurai, Puran, Besham and Chakesar. This setup ensures equitable judicial access throughout the district.

Commitment to Justice

Guided by the principles of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court, Shangla’s judiciary is grounded in integrity, impartiality, and public service. Despite resource limitations and growing caseloads, each judicial officer remains dedicated to delivering fair and timely justice with utmost professionalism.

Innovation & Modernization

Under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble District & Sessions Judge Mr. Mamrez Khan Khalil, the District Judiciary Shangla has embraced digital transformation through the launch of the Online Case Management System (OCMS). This comprehensive platform streamlines access to case records, daily cause lists, and hearing schedules by case number or party title.

Special sections empower lawyers to track their cases and case diary. People can also submit online feedback, complaints, or suggestions directly to the judiciary. Additional initiatives such as scanned records, video conferencing, and real-time case updates have further enhanced judicial transparency, operational efficiency, and public trust.
